hey guys i have recently just moved to san angelo in august. i have all the gear for duck hunting except a watercraft and decoys. i have hunted ducks since i was real young up in minnesota if anyone is hunting in twin buettes and has some room id be more then happy to try and hunt in the area i do not have a liscence but i can get one just need to know what all i would need for hunting the area as far as liscences.

Welcome to the forum and San Angelo. We try not to name lakes online because it increases the hunting pressure. There's as many hunters as there is ducks right now. I only have a kayak, you'll have to learn the dirt roads as it will be hard to hunt without a boat.

You either need a boat or you need a 4wd that you're not afraid to get scratched up. Like REALLLLY scratched up

well if you guys know the area id be more than happy to tag along if you have the room some time id be will to give it a shot atleast but let me know i guess if you guys here anything hoping to see some fly in soon

ducks love the river downtown. I've seen ringneck, shoveler, gadwall, widgeon, redheads, buffleheads, etc.....and I've fed shovelers bread a few times. they also like sunset lake in town...pintails, and all the above listed as well as greenwings and hoodies.
